Looking at what happened at the UPB "Pontificial Bolivarian University" a few weeks ago, it is important to emphasize this important event as the academic community and people outside the university were dismayed with this fact.
The university has a pedagogical model which is: to fully educate their community through Catholicism. However, the people who come to this university are human beings with different ways of life, think, act, with different interests, values, principles that reflect what they are.
However, it is in bad taste what happened in the university because the woman was denigrated by a man "my equal" who did not respect her condition as a woman. "Joke" or "Game" or "Joke between friends" what you can see in the video. But I think that you can not call it that way that disrespects the other.
In addition, the UPB on its website made a statement to the women by their way of dressing which said: "Avoid wearing provocative clothing, deep necklines and more as it is cause for distraction for colleagues and teachers."
With this, the community of students, including teachers, felt attacked because this only reflects that the situation experienced in Block 6 of education was only an act that the woman led to it happening. Therefore, students and professors on Thursday, February 8, 2018, campaigned with the hashtag #yodecidocomovestirme to not give way in some way to violence against women.
Now, the question that covers us is: What happened to the community if the university is Catholic? Does the university respect the woman in its entirety? What is the meaning of woman there? Again with this communication as 3 years ago with the holiday course for girls of: "Manners and education" the woman is undervalued, disrespected by the other, and only forced to his condition as a woman "BE LESS PROVOKING"
